Monaco,

firstly $ 200,- labour to do the springs is a very decent price. It's quite some work on an E60. ( a few hours)

On the wheels it would help to know, what size the wheels are and what the offset is. Are the rears 9" or 9.5" and the offset makes a difference, too.

They are 19x8, 19x9
5 x 120mm
20mm/32mm

By noting that there is a 19 x 9.5 size, and I have 19 x 9.0, it would appear that I have a smaller wheel.
Any advice on this set-up as far as how I may differ from some of the other members who do not have replicas like me?

Best,

with a 9x19 ET32, the 20mm spacers should be fine. Nevertheless, I'd probably try a 15mm first.

The M5 originals are 9.5 with ET28 and still easily take a 10mm spacer, bringing the offset down to 18mm.
Even 10" on the rear work with a max of 17/18mm offset

So with the wheel half an inch smaller, the 20mm spacers should just be o.k.

Hey guys,

i had 13mm spacers on my 166 - they were pretty much aligned with the front wheels.

Seems like everyone has great information for you. I'll chime in about the labor cost for lowering your car. You should jump on the $200 deal. I paid 5x that amount. I feel like I got ripped off now.
