My Ride: 2005 545i Black Sapphire - Fully Loaded

I originally tried to purchase this light module part #: 61 35 9 154 944 , but was told by garry at newport it was replaced with number 61359179186 with the same part functions. When i recieved part no. 61359179186, they tried to program the light module, but it wouldn't encode.. however everything works! just a whole bunch of error messages.

hmm.. i don't understand why the parts are the same number for ones with or without heads up display?

does anyone know where i can buy part# 61 35 9 154 944

I'm assuming the following:

You installed LCI lights in your non LCI car.

You changed the light control module since you have a early car.

The dealer replaced and programmed the LCM, but, you still have warning messages on your dashboard, correct?

IF this is the case, take the car back to the dealer and tell them to reconnect the car to Progman and to perform a LCI software retrofit to your car.

The LCM need to be re-encoded to know that the car has LCI lights installed in a non LCI car.

The early control module has nothing to do with the warning messages on your dashboard.

Hope this helps...
