Thumbs up

Or is that an oxymoron?
I'm looking for light 18" rims but keep it under 1500 if possible, 2k tops. I was thinking BBS if there are no light OEMs. Any suggestions? TIA

BBS makes some of the OEM wheels for BMW. The lightest OEM wheel is Style 101 according to Znod. He happens to have them on his 545i.

Thanks.
I read somewhere that the 166s weigh in the neighborhood of 40+ lbs. That can't be right is it? I thought they were light?

As far as I can remember, it's around 30 lbs. M6 167 rim is much lighter.

Thanks for your inputs.
I'm leaning towards 166s but everyone and their mother has them, lol. If I can get the money, I'd love to put BBS LMs on. Maybe BBS CHs. What do you guys think? The 166s will cost a less tho. Decisions, decisions...

Go for 166 since it looks like a 20" wheel once installed because those spokes run all the way to the end of the rim edge. If money was not a constraint, I'd go for 167. Due to look and light weight.

I got 19" BBS RGR, ~21lbs =)
feels alot lighter than my stock 138 wheel and tire combo (i think the BBS wheel and tire total is about mid 40 lbs).
i do love the look of 166 though...
