This has been discussed a million times but it seems like the focus is always on how bright they are!

I'm looking for something that isn't so bright! I've had some concerned citizen types watch me pass them at speeds they deemed unacceptable and decided to take down my license plate and report me to the local authorities who then sent me a letter as a warning!! UN-Effin-believable!!!!

As a result....I don't feel the need to make my license plate glow from miles away!

What are my options for something with no errors and a oem/normal brightness? even a little brighter than oem is fine...just no flood lights!!

He carries the one with resistor. The really bright ones are from RDash which he sells too.

i have the regular ones. a tad brighter than stock. i would recommend using them with resistors to totally prevent error message as they may sometimes turn on when the car starts. PM me for more details.

The only problem is they do burn out regularly due to the heat from resistor. So, buy a bunch leds as backup and be prepared to replace them.

that's what I thought! I wish there was an RDash type solution with no resistors and no errors simply not as bright. It seems like it's either I get the Rdash and it'll be a simple install with no problems but super bright or I get a dimmer LED with resistors, possible errors and burnout!
