It does look dimmer. We need a comparison done at night.

BMW has adopted a standard which I don't wish they turn from. BMW utilises CELIS type tail lights. You know they types adopted by the facelift E39 models and now the E90. I wish they will continue in this line. Even Mercedes in their new S-Class adopted that lighting technology.
The usual led system is very funny when one led goes out and am sure it was part of the consideration BMW took before adopting the CELIS type tailights.
I've just seen pictures of the retrofit models from the far east... i'm sorry to say they look rather inferior on a BMW... the styling and the way the leds show is unfortunately toyish.
