Great idea but bad execution.

In the end as long as the OP is happy, thats what really counts. Thanks for sharing, now I know not to get these!!

Just kidding.
i completely agree

if someone offered a more solid overall distribution of light across the reflector id get them

but these r the only light'd ones so i figured id give em a try

i like em

I don't recall what the back side of my reflectors looked like or if they had some transparency that permits the leds to shine through - OR if there is a need to drill some holes for them. As was already posted, I'm not sure that a few LED dots look better or if some other configuration would be more effective.

Lastly, as I recall, "red" leds behind a red lens transmit more light of the correct color better than "white" leds behind a red lens.

What's really funny is that when I was in Taiwan, I saw a lot of different modeled cars with these type of mods. A lot of Corolla Altis (wtf is Altis??) had brake lighting in their reflectors.

Another car that I saw, it had this solid strip of red led that went across the back of the car when it was braking, and turned blue when driving.

There was this other one that I saw was kind of funny looking. It had a guy walking while in D, and a pedestrian stop red when it braked. Just like those crosswalk signs. Totally weird.

I dunno, interesting mod, just not a fan of the reflectors in the first place. I like my body color matched inserts, too much lighting would make me feel like I am driving a big rig.

Now that the LED is in place, a new HID adaptation is next in line. Pretty soon, Barbus (John) will reveal the latest upgrade for us. Just wait...

I wonder Either I don't have reflectors, or they were painted over. If I don't have them, is there a removable piece in it's place?
