Default led lighting upgrade questions.

Hello everyone,
im looking to get some insight on leds upgrades for an lci halogen headlight.
Turn signals are 3457 and low beams are h7 55w.

The aftermarket led turn signals require resistors to be wired, however the bulbs (3457) plug directly into the base of the piece that fits into the headlight..

how is this possible, do you have to solder to the contacts in which the bulb comes in contact with on the plastic fitting? i'm a little lost as to where exactly it goes and a clean routing option for wires..
ijdm toy has some nice turn signals for sale, nice clean appearance.

Second question, led headlights comparable to a 55w hid @6K.. does it exist? im sure its going to need some wiring for a heat sync and possibly a driver? are leds headlights a poor option, should i just stick with a 6k 55w hid?

thanks for your time! some pics would be awesome if they're available.

Bill, don't get those silver coated bulbs man, they like to advertise them to be as bright as stock bulbs, but none ever are that I have seen.

3457 indicates a switchback bulb, is base size is actually the same as 3456. It plugs right in, no soldering or wiring needed.

As we've talked about this, if you want, we can order error free LEDs for your turn signals. If I remember correctly though, you wanted it in amber, which I can get, however, because Cree doesn't make amber high performance LED for this application, it wouldn't be the brightest amber in the market (no choice, it's either coding or resistors if you want the brightest).

Oh, and to answer your second question. Get a good 35w kit. While 55w is brighter, the downsides of it is not worthwhile.

As for the LED h7 kits that are starting to pop up, I can't really comment on that. I want to say that it's not quite ready or a viable solution yet because it obviously does not illuminate 360 degrees and utilize the projector fully, but I can't say with certainty because I haven't test it out yet.

thanks for the insight on the leds, going back to the turn signal dilemma. i found these on e92 lighting and they call for resistors. from a lot of the pictures the leds look like they illuminate amber. my side markes are led so im guessing they are actually yellow. so at this point im open to either yellow or orange turn signals for the headlights.
at the end of the day i just want this type of led bulb for two reasons, looks inside the headlight and obviously the fact its an led

shoot me a pm if you can help me out get a similiar led for the turn signal that does not require a resistor..

i was thinking of trying some led low beams just to try and see what they do.. if it fails i have a good set of canbus 35w hids in my pre lci halogens now i can use like you've recommended.
