LED License Plate Lighting

Has anyone had problems with their LED festoon bulbs (from Autoilumination) for your license plate lighting? I replaced mine about 4 months ago, and last week about half of the LED's went out on one bulb and it started blinking like a strobe. Then a few days later, the other festoon went out completely. I want to replace them but not if they're only going to last a few months. Btw, I did install the resistors, so I'm not sure why they would burn out so fast.
Anyone have any ideas or know of any other place that sells better quality festoons?

Hey man, im in the same boat. Bought a pair from autolumination.com and they lasted only a week. Quality on the bulps are almost nil and you should not expect for them to last for ever. Im looking into another seller, in the mean time i ordered another pair from them and im gonna see how these are. Ill let you know if i find nything.

I have had mine in for 6 months now with the resistors and haven't had a single problem. They're great and I get compliments all the time!

I had mine for about 3-4 months already and no problem yet. I use to have the resistor installed but I removed it because it gets too hot. I don't mind having the error on idrive. It goes out anyway whenever my headlights are on.

You definitely should, why should you take the loss, when its their problem. May be its the resistor we using to prevent the Idrive error causing the leds to burn out?
