If you open the front doors, the light underneath it lights up. From the outside, nothing on the outside lights up. No door handles or underneath the mirrors

i wish we had this feature as well, the puddle lights are nice, but this would make it even better.

would it be an easy mod to add the lights underneath the mirrors or would it be much easier to replace the whole mirror?

I think you can do the lights underneath the mirrors without having to replace the mirrors. You need to buy the LEDs and also the black frame around the mirror which has a slot opening for the LEDs. I did think of doing this at one point but as you live with the car the 'need' to have toys on it decreases. Also if you are going that far have you considered switching to the more fancier M5 mirrors with the LEDs.

Whichever way you do it you still need to figure out how you will wire these lights up because the wiring isn't there for these lights on cars that didn't have it from the factory.
