You keep saying Predator V3 is brighter. Post some pix up to compare it then. Put some pictures of the MTEC V2 side by side with the Predator V3 and see which one is brighter. The MTEC V2 is DEFINITELY brighter than the Predator V2. Your pic shows it even though you said it's the same brightness. MTEC V2 utilizes a metal case which houses the CREE LED. This means that it's great for heat dissipation. Use the MTEC V2 and see if the LED dims after 6 months. It would not. What kind of LED does Predator V3 use?

How is ur V4 LED license plate brightest? Compare it to the RD 18 SMD LED License Plate Lamps, it's not that bright. My 3 SMD LEDs HIGH POWERED are brighter than that.

Our ICE V3 uses the same CREE LED as the Mtec V2, but with our own little tweaks on it.

When someone speaks on the phone and says it's brighter, that's one thing. But to say it in real life, you have to have some photos to back it up and we do.

Let's start with the easy one:


Our V4 LED is easily 3X brighter than the RD unit.

Now onto the ICE V2/MtecV2 comparison:

Looks pretty much the same here.

And then if you use a basic geometric proof here, if A (ICE V2) and B (Mtec V2) are the same, and C (ICE V3) is brighter than A, then C is brighter than B and A.

As for the Predator V3, I am sure customers want side by side comparison pix of the Predator ICE V3 and MTEC V2 and not a geometric proof. Pictures taken with or without flash can change the led look quite a bit.



If anyone has the time, patience, money, effort, and balls, I would definitely go with the Orion V2s for pre-LCI.

 

I think John just proved that it's possible to argue about differences without attacking each other. This may be a first for vendor disagreements

I'll be happy to do a side by side comparo when they are back in stock, right now we're selling too many ICE V3 units for us to have any need to stock the Mtec V2 unit.

As for the license plate, I have both E60 and E46 units. They are exactly the same.

In Taiwan/China, you can buy anything from the standard vendors, so they become somewhat "generic" - meaning anyone can buy and sell the same parts.

We try very hard to find manufacturers that want to go outside the norm. And with the Predator ICE V3, we did that.
