Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone took apart their lci tails and soldered in differet color led's for the turn signals. Im thinkin about going with the lci retrofit with bruce cables but i dont want to part with my white led signals. If someone has done it and posts up some pictures of it thatd be awesome. Then again, knowing it CAN be done is all i need since i never dealt with LCI before haha !

Thanks

I was about to do this but I ended up selling my tails. If i ever get the LCI tails again I would definitely experiment and do it. I even have the LED SMD's ready to do it.

i didnt realize white led signals were that aggravating? Theyre not really eye blinding bright like HID's and they only blink for a couple of seconds at a time at most.

think of it as a bigger reverse light...would you being behind someone with the reverse lights on, intermittently going on and off?

or think of when you are behind a car that has a cracked tailight, do you find that annoying? blinding?

well for one, signals by law have to be red or amber.
and it'll look like you have a light with a busted lense when they're flashing.

Hmmm, I guess i never really was annoyed by the whole cracked tail light. Also, the entire strip of turn signal lights up when it flashes so it doesn't really look like a cracked tail light. I guess everybody has their own opinions.

kinda like fog lights on when it isn't foggy...

IMO, it's a safety hazard: a car with white LED's as rear turn signals = blinding
