The cables work fine, I have just one small issue (nothing optical) with them but I have already contacted Bruce on that.
I test every kit before sending them out but problems can occur. I'm sure I'll resolve any issues for you too. There are more people out there with working kits than people with issues. I may just send out a replacement kit and see how you get on with that one. But as you say you have no issues with the way things work or look, and no errors. So it must be a very small problem or something that has moved in transit.

When I arrived home the problem seemed to be gone, I'll take a look again tomorrow.
Thanks for your help so far!

Thanks, I was very tempted to do the full retrofit front + back after reading your post but this is a good start .
I hope I can make some space on my busy time schedule for the European meet, but it's a good excuse to do a high speed run on the autobahn again .

What was the problem? Can you elaborate on it? Just curious.

Nothing special, a buzzing noise came from one of the boxes.
I guess it needed to be 'run in' a bit .

bruce,

installing your kit does not involve any cutting of wires or anything right?

In this install do you see any wires being cut or mention of the same. http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=51446

No. Its completely plug and play.
