I received the New style USA cables form Bruce yeterday and installed them right away. After driving around for about an hour I checked the boxes for any excessive heat build up, and everything was good. I just cant get over how nice these lights look, everyone just stares as they pull up behind me. Thanks for the great work Bruce!!!

I believe so since Bruce has not solved the strobing problem yet.

Yea, but only on start-up. No big deal.

Does anyone know if BMW has an "official" retrofit cable for LCI tail lights out yet? I thought I read earlier in the thread one was supposed to be out in Aug or Sep?

Got my cables from bruce today, the lights look great and everything functions properly, easy clean install. but I get a right brake lamp malfunction error on idrive when the lights are on in either "auto" or the "on" position. it comes and goes every few minutes, Ive contacted bruce to try to get this resolved. The strobing is non-existant and really only on start up for 8-10 seconds, I highly recommend the cables!

Thanks for the feedback. I'm guessing this is a one off because no one else seems to have this issue. I'll send out a new right cable to see if this resolves your problem, the cables were tested on my car and it may just be that your car is a bit more sensitive about the Load Resistors simulating the Brake Light.

I think I just may have resolved the strobing issue!! I'll be absolutely sure tomorrow when I get some good parts but today's experiments were a success. Finally there is hope for all those who have wanted a strobe free LCI light.
To keep time and costs down I am going to only add the circuit to the Turn lights because we know that the LED rods do not strobe if the Light switch is in the Auto or On position.
