Bruce is by far the guy to contact - I wired mine up myself and it was like a rave behind my car when I started it up with all the strobing. I was thinking, "put in capacitors or bite the bullet?"

I went for it, got them installed yesterday and I feel like I never have to think about it again. Best part it (well, not for all) is that you can play with the light configuration since it doesn't detect faults, so I took out the ridiculous looking circle lens bulbs - I really like the effect at night with only the LED 'tubes' as a taillight.
I'm surprised you can do that without getting an error. If I did that on an EU car we would get the REAR FOG LIGHT malfunction error. Also just to warn you, you have removed your BFD bulb which I dont recommend. Also if you have a blown bulb you will still get a warning with my kit.

Bruce.

Those were some surprising replies - I am not driving without brake lights, I am driving without the innermost bulb in the circle housing (the one that serves only as a taillight) - this will eliminate the 'adaptive braking' light in the event of ABS activation, which as previously discussed is too proprietary to be useful - in my opinion.

Good to know I will in fact get errors in the event of a real outage, thanks for the clarification Bruce.
