I think it depends on ho much you got everything for. For instance, I bought my 08 xenon adaptive headlight lenses from a junkyard for $400 + ship, in practically brand new condition (just a bit of dust). I sold my 06 lights for $250. I got the LCM on a trade. The tail lights I bought used for very cheap too, and will probably sell my 06 tail lights sometime. The wiring, we called in some favors.

I think if I had to pay full new pricing on everything, it may be a more bitter pill to swallow.
Thats a good idea, I need to check some junkyards for LCI tails.

Hi

Sorry to say NO , not yet , we tried coding last week , but with out the wanted result , we tried doing it tru the AHL box , NO luck , then we tried direct to the LM ( with the 12 wire's redirected from the AHL to the LM ) , NO luck , all programing was done with the PROGMAN at the BMW dealership.

So some time in the futur we will try with the old DISPlus or the GT1 , should that also don't work out , we will try to code the ALC box'es on a LCI model E60/61 , and then switc back the headlight's on my car, and see if the Adaptive Light Control function then work's.

The funny thing however is that the headlight with the "used" ALC box function 100% , but the new ( un-coded ) ALC box work "revers" as it should.

In the last end , if none of the coding give's a result , I will try to get another "used" ALC box and see what then happens.

But be sure , I won't give up so easy

Hi mikeg3sguap

Yes my Angel eys does work ( I have allready opgraded my taillight's and changed LM ), if your car have production date after 03/05 , you will have to move pin 25 to pin 63 ( gray/green ) and pin 40 to pin 11 ( gray/blue ) on your LM ( light modul ), then it should worke , LM is underneath the steerinwheel to the left.( black box with a white double block (blue/amber) 76 pin connector )

Is your car a pre 03/05 you will have to change the LM , also if you want to opgrade your tail light's to LCI , you will have to change this modul ( LM , BMW part no. 154 944 ) ) to make it work perfect , or you can purchase the cabel-set from bruceMiranda , but thy wont help out the problem with the Angel Eys.

Hi devious023

Do I understand it right , you have converted from pre Halogen headlight's to LCI Halogen headlight's ? , also you have converted the taillight's to Org. BMW LCI LED tallight's ?, you have made none LM ( Light modul ) conversion ?.

Have you re-directed the following wire's on the LM : Gray/Green wire Pin 20 to Pin 63 and the Gray/Blue wire Pin 40 to Pin 11 ( Angel Eys signal wire's have to be switced on the LM for LCI headlight' to make the Angel Eys work correct ! , don't work on pre 03/05 buildt E60/61 , here you have to switc LM ) ?.

In order to make the taillight work properly ,you will have to either purchase a new LM ( BMW should be able to provide you with the part no. for the right one for your car ) , and then get it coded by BMW , or purchase the cabel-set from BruceMiranda here on the E60 net.

Good Luck

Good Luck

you are correct on them all, but as far as the tailghit i noticed through bmw paperwork, the lcm for halogen are exactly the same just different part numbers to make the consumer pay

either way, w/ the pins ur referring to, has any1 actually tried this and worked?
