LCI paddle wheel work as M5 wheel

Hello, forum members.
I was looking at the electrical diagrams for the e60 LCI paddle shift wheel and i saw that by exchanging the wires of the LCI one on the paddle shifters, it will work almost as the M5 one.
I have edited the schematic below to show you what i mean. By doing this Right paddle will Gear + on Push and Pull and the Left one will Gear - on Push and Pull.
I don't have an LCI wheel yet, to test this but i am 99.99% it will work. If anyone is willing to test this it will be nice. Feel free to share your opinion.
Edit: Another thing that comes to my mind is making the Right paddle shift work only on push which will Gear + and the Left one work only on push as well, which will Gear - . Or it can be done the other way around, depending on the desired direction for the gear switching. See second pdf.
