Way to stick with it Rival. 
There is aways someone that questions the effort for mods like this. What they don't get is it is the hobby and satisfaction of doing this sort of work - just like when I build my own cabinets or do my own trim carpentry.
Some of us seek out projects just for the fun of it - doesn't matter if it makes much sense sometimes. The means justify the ends.
