Like BlaSTiWi i've done a retrofit without changing the LCM. Pre LCI Halogens to LCI Bixenon. Rather that cutting wires I made a plug and play wiring harness so I can remove them when selling the car. No error messages, and no bulbs under hood. To do this you need adaptive LCI xenons(frosted inner light) and not standard bi xenons (clear inner light). I do not have the adaptive function active though but it doesn't bother me. This completes full LCI look with my rears

i bought ONE headlight and gonna try to mess with it. Mebbe make my own plugs and resistors to prevent errors for angel eyes? Now is there a cable to buy for the headlight or is it just a plug? Anyone know anything about which wire stands for which one?

There's a set of LCI headlights on Ebay for $700 for a pair, but no ballast, bulbs etc... is that a good buy?

no way. that's too expensive for me IMO. I just bought one headlight. Lots of useful info here: https://5series.net/forums/index.php?showto...ofit&st=180

Why dont u wait and see what I can do before spending $700. If i can't do it, i'll post the one headlight I have for sale and see if anyone else can do it.

If u have a 03/2005 or later built, u can reuse all the bulbs, ballasts, ignitor, etc since u have D1S bulbs...usually. prior 03/2005, it's D2S.

I am pretty sure there's a way we can work around the LCM. I mean, all the connections are going to same anyway. Power is going through no problem right? I'll just have to try all this using wires and electrical tape to see if it works well. If not enough power goes to the angel eyes, you can use relays. If this is successful, I plan on putting HID angel eyes there anyway This is the main reason why I want these lights!
