Yes could get tricky ... i.e. say the headlights are $2K/pair ... is that somethin' we like to mess around?
I ... on the other hand got them rather cheap
... so guilty feeling ... not so much ![Big Grin](https://5series.net/forums/images/smilies/imported/biggrin.gif)

No joke, it's a pain.
My vehicle went through the process (pre-lci xenon adaptive to lci xenon adaptive).
Headlights + LCM + cabling + install process (takes a LOT of time to do) + programming

I did the full retro and it didnt cost as much as you would think.. There are alot of LCI headlights on ebay that are good for the retrofit. Some need the balast and control module for the light which you can buy on ebay also... the most expensive part was the LCM. The wire looms"plugs" are different from the pre LCI to Lci.. I bought mine from Rover active.. Most BMW dealers will not sell the wire kit.. The kit took me about 2 hours to install.. there is an updated PDF file here for the correct rewire for the new plugs http://forums.e60.net/index.php?act=attach...st&id=86257 .. It is mostly plug and play but the LCM needs to be reprogramed for the halos " parking lights" to work.. They are a higher wattage..Now way around it..you will also need a LCm that is post 09 2005 to be programed.. you need to do the rear lights as well.. It will not program correctly without them.. I say all in all i spent about $2000 for everything..It is an easy retrofit..
Yep, $2k sounds about right.

$2K for everything assuming the headlights are about $1400? So you'd have to front another $600 or so to buy all the right parts??
Headlights you can get for FAR cheaper from a junkyard.
You'll need to buy the tail lights.
The LCM is right about $500.
The cables aren't too much.
The install and programming depends on where you go.
