I'm confused... did you replace the high-beam lamps or the cornering lights or both?
I want a much whiter HID looking lamp for my high beam lamps (lights closest to the grill) and the light color in your second pic looks ideal... please clarify.

On LCI e60's the inner (closest to the grill) lights are used as "cornering lights" and was a simple H3 bulb change. I believe that in your case (pre-LCI e60), these lights are DRL lights and high beam lights, so the H3 bulbs will not work.
Might want to shoot a pm to member elite_motorsports as he would be able to help point you in the right direction. GL

did not change those, but looks like those bulbs are 16W W16W (pg 238 on the manual)
