Hello,

i am the happy ower of a 2008 LCI E61 with halogen headlights.

i wonder if i can change my angel eyes with the bright HALOGEN angel eyes that came out in the late E60/E61's.

the issue is you can't see my angel eyes during the day, but the one's from the late E60 and E61's (or maybe the LCI with xenon ?) are MUCH brighter and can be seen really good during the day.

does anyone know a conversion kit / OEM part number ?

note: i do NOT want the LED angel eyes .

No. No way you going to get brighter angel eyes if you are unwilling to go LED. Also, there's no conversion kit to go halogen to xenon unless you retrofit the whole thing.

OK and if i would go to LED which kits are the most bright. Do you see the difference with the current F-series LED angel eyes ?

I am not sure what you mean by see the difference. Sure, they look different and better than LCI xenon's angel eyes, but are you talking about something specific?

I have LCI halogens as well, but I did the Orions v2. I don't really think there are good plug and play options for LCI halogen unfortunately.

Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

Option for plug and play:-

Options using a relay so no errors.

I've not tried any of these but it's not all doom an gloom. With a relay you could potentially fit a HID KIT if you can make if fit without melting any components

Yesterday i took a look at the angel eyes, seems you can't replace the bulb but you have to buy a new fitting also :s

Also recording to realoem it is like this:

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...17&hg=63&fg=05

(part number 2)

with a number of mods it would be possible to replace the bulb. I think the bulb is a 10W BA9S so the AE's would be brighter if i fit this:

would i have any error messages ?

do you have a picture of the headlights ,, just for the curiosity as i've never seen halogen headlights ..

so even the LCI halogen uses the pre LCI angel eyes method ( fiber optic ) ?

indeed, there is 1 10w light in the halogen lci headlight.

i think the pre-lci is only a 5 watt bulb. the fitting is verry different tough ...

in a pre-lci you can just change the AE bulb, in LCI headlights you need to change the complete fitting (i tried to get the bulb out of the fitting but no matter with how many force i pulled the bulb it didn't come out).

Where can I buy the spacer for making it fit the LCI model?
Thanks.

It does come out, you're just not doing it right.
