I've been trying to figure out how I change my angel eye bulbs in my 2008 LCI E60 UK SPEC

Looked at every single post, but nothing telling me how to change them on my specific model.

Currently they are standard halogen, and I want to replace them with blue w5w's that I got free with my new H7's.

HELP as its doing my nut in.....!

Cheers

Because the angel eye bulbs on the halogen headlights are H10W (even though the handbook says otherwise). I looked at this a few months ago and was unable to find alternative bulbs that would fit.

The H10Ws themselves are easy but fiddly to get out and are located in the main beam part of the headlight.

Good luck.

Really? I'd read that on the LCI cars they use H8 bulbs. Or is it different for cars with stock Halogen lights and those with factory Xenons? :s (I've got an October 2008 E61 LCI M-Sport with the stock Halogens and am lookng at changing the Angel Eyes too...)

Yep. LCI halogens use a different bulb for angel eyes to the one in LCI Xenons.

The best place to look if you have the car is on the white sticker on top of the headlight. Pop open the bonnet and have a look.

This is great info.....

I'll have a look, however how do you get the bulb out, as there is just no way I can get my hand in......Do I have to take the headlight out?

Cheers

I had a look, and below is a pic of what the sticker says (for reference the car's an October 2008 E61 LCI M-Sport with the stock Halogens):

And apart from proving how rubbish the iPhone 3G camera is , the sticker says that the unit has a H7, a PY21W and a H10W (just as 525d MSport said it would!).

So, out of all the sellers on here and all the other sites around, who sells the best replacement for the H10W Angel Eye bulb? I've read lots of sites and posters here saying they do kits for the Angel Eyes on the LCI, but most seem to imply that their kits are for the H8 Angel Eyes on Xenon cars....

That's it!

Despite the handbook saying otherwise...

Thats same as pre LCI xenon angeleye bulb, maybe you could use a 'super bright' LED conversion? I personally don't like the LED look.
