Hello,

Question on this shock. On Koni-Na website and Tirerack, they show this shock is not for sport package or self-leveling car.
I saw some people putting it on sport model. Could you guys help verifying it?

Thank you for your help!!

I have Koni Yellows on my 550 Sport, but they're the Dinan-Koni Stage 1 version. Dinan takes the standard Koni yellow struts/shocks and revalves them to Dinan specs, then adds their own bump stops. The front struts are adjustable but the rear shocks require removal for adjustment. Dinan sells the struts and shocks separately or as a Stage 1, 2, or 3 package including springs and other suspension tweaks: Dinan/Koni suspension

You are right -- it does say that now. I'm pretty sure that note (for sport package) was not there in the past. If you are changing the springs I don't see how it could matter. Only other thing unique for the sport then would be the active sway bars - can't see them causing a problem either.

I know I haven't had any problem and I like them. This is the third car where I have added Koni's with lowering springs and been happy with the handling and ride on all of them.

Back in the day I bought a complete Dinan suspention for my M3 with the "revalved" koni shocks. My kit arrived with koni shocks sealed in their original koni box. No Dinan part number on the box or anything. The boxes had no visible signs of ever being opened. In my opinion they were regular koni shocks with an inflated Dinan price.

I recall Vegastrashed had Koni Yellows on his 545 with sports package and there were no problems.

You name it and I've done it to my suspension when I had the 545i. Springs, struts/shocks, coilovers, bump stops.... well, except for camber plates.
