Hell no it doesn't. But, you can pick up RPI scoops and BMC filter combination from Trinity Autosport (site vendor) that has verified, dyno evidenced HP gains for the same price or even LESS than any other "pretender" (aFe, K&N, etc.) systems!!

I would imagine that Dinan uses them so they don't have to pay R&D on their own brand of air filter, and they simply select one with a favorable market image!

BMC and K&N filter will let the engine breather better no doubt about that. some prefer the BMC over the K&N just because of the surface area, but both are good filters and we can get either one

Sorry to be a stick in the mud, but unless you got something like a turbo charged super Skyline you probably wont see a difference, without other serious mods, my E34 is seriously modded and all a K+N panel filter ( and Cone ) did was add power up top where it was no use anyways, whilst robbing torque and BHP in the lower revs.........I have Dyno sheets to prove if anyone is really that interested

Thats not to say some cars might benifit but I seriously doubt your BMW will............IMHO and experience of course

So whilst you may find 2hp it will probably be right up at red line where you dont drive in the real world anyways..................

Only advantage I see is that it would pay for itself after a couple of cleanings....not sure how much or how often the OE filter needs to be changed, but I'm guessing 25-30 bucks? K&N panel filter is like $55
