There have been much discussion on the K&N air filter impact on the MAF sensor. I have also read K&N assurance that using K&N air filter will not have any negative impact on the sensor. However, my MAF sensor did get bonkered after using the air filter for 6 months. The reason may not be due to the K&N, but I just wanna do a survey how many of you did experience such failure after using K&N.
Just installed the K&N and removed the Charcoal Filter today.
I can DEFINITELY feel the difference.
The car is much more responsive. The exhaust sounds deeper..
Liking it so far...

I had a CAI with a K&N on my 330 and the MAF went bad. However, I think it was going out before the K&N was even on the car. I had a couple of check engine lights about 6 months previous, then went totally bad after the K&N was installed. I did remove the CAI before taking the car in for service though because I was afraid they would blame it. Put the CAI back on with the new MAF and never had any problems -- no issues on the 530 either.
