In keeping with a tradition that I have followed with all of my BMWs I am ordering dustless brake pads for my yet to be delivered car from Zeckendorf Racing. The day I pick it up I will be taking it to Rogue Engineering to have them installed. Why every single one of you does not do the same is beyond me. For a lousy $400 or so you can completely do away with the need to clean your cherished rims every other day. Matter of fact, my rims stay clean all the time, even if I do not have the car washed for a week or two. IMO this is the single most important mod for any BMW unless of course you have some anal fascination with cleaning your rims all the time. I have not noticed anything different feeling, handling or wear wise and would not even consider driving the car without them.

Axxis is the newer "brand name" for PBR / Metal Masters - long considered the most dust free pads available for European automobiles. I've used them since the mid-'80's. As a matter of fact I still have a spare set for an e32 if anyone is interested!
They also seemed to extend rotor life without reducing braking performance. I agree that brake dust and BMW brake pads seemed to be a daily annoyance ... hourly if you drive hard!

The only downside to the Axxis Deluxe Plus is the potential for squealing. I tried them on an M5. I recall they squeaked occasionally when new but then I was a bit harsh on them, running a track session in the rain, and they squeaked all too frequently after that. I finally swapped the stock pads back in.
I have since learned a few ways to clean pads after track abuse so maybe I could have fixed the issue and kept them.

Are you sure about the name? Dave Zeckhausen might think otherwise.
