Hi,

I just wanted to check the latest part numbers for a few mods im planning - I'd be grateful if you could check to see if I've got the right parts.

ACM whole kit: 65 50 0 441 372
DVB-TV whole kit: 65 50 0 406 957
USB for ACM: 65 50 0 433 281

I think all of those parts are whole kits. I just need to give them to my dealer to see if they can fit it all.

Once all of this has been added Im going to add a front cam by not linked into the PDC, but rather input so it can be used at any speed.
Trying to make the install of the front cam like this: http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=74161&st=0

Link for the DVB-T set http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=65&fg=95

ACM 65500441372 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=65&fg=95

USB 65500433281 http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?mo...hg=65&fg=95

If you use the front camera input of the ACM then that automatically cuts out that input after 20mph but if you use a switch box and connect the cameras via the DVD input then you'll be OK.

Read this thread for the installation instructions http://forums.e60.net/index.php?showtopic=54943&st=0

Thanks for that conformation Bruce.
I've spoke to the dealers here and they still cannot order the parts so I'm going to have to try Munich. Does anyone have a number for someone I can speak to there about it?

On the slight upside the dealer said they may be able to install it.

If you can get your dealer to install it in the time it says it takes on the EBA I will congratulate you on a huge success. But on the up side you may actually be able to trick your dealer into honouring that time because its his first time as well. I remember doing this to them when my car was the first one in the UK to have the AUX and Voice Input retrofit done. Now BMW have become a lot better in their estimates of that job.

Right BMW want to see the manuals for the installation to see if they are happy to this.

Can someone point me in the right direction to get the manual for the DVB-T and USB interface (in english).

Thank you.

I knew this was going to be your question and answered it before you asked. I now refuse to spoon feed you I've not seen a DVB-T manual but BMW should not be asking you this. The EBA numbers are quoted on their parts system and they can look this up themselves on ASAP.

Well I found the manual for the USB interface - but the DVB-T no one seems to have installed using a PDF - ever since I made that post I've been googling it & trying find a part's line in Germany to order the units - I dont really want to be paying more than the unit is worth in Europe.

Bruce did you order your unit from Ebay USA?

Just in reply: BMW have said that they need DVB-T manuals because although the part is listed with a price of ?431.87 on the system they cannot order.

Edit:

IFY - they also said that in relation to the ACM/USB unit, "due to low demand, they will not bring the ACM unit to the UK as its not 'complete' yet. Until the demand request grows in the UK they will not be allowed to order the part".

DVB-T closest match I can find so far: http://cgi.ebay.de/BMW-DVB-T-Set-fuer-5er-e60-e61-mit-I-Drive-inkl-TV-Free_W0QQitemZ160286964810QQihZ006QQcategoryZ76083QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem
Its not the OEM version - but it might be my only option for now.

The ACM has never been available in the US too. Mine came in from Germany via the US. I had both a new one on a Group Buy but sold that and bought a second hand one for about half the price. Don't buy the after market DVB-T because then you wont be able to control it via the iDrive. If that is not an issue for you why not simply look out for a DVD player with an inbuilt TV Tuner.

There is a member Midget who installed the DVB-T and may have the instructions at hand.
