Here goes one more update to my car yesterday i added this to my 530i also debagged it, and changed the bmw sign to the black and front to match the roof..

you take the plate off also the mount that holds the plate and the finisher has two holes that screw rite in perfect, and yes it cover the key hole but its a beauty when you see it
I am sure that is not the case or people on here wouldnt be doing it, but that just seems like it would be the case if the only thing holding it on was in the middle by the license plate.

Because if that whole area is held my some screws at the license plate location you would think that would be a prime candidate for some vibration at high speeds when the air swirls around behind the car.
