EU guys: don?t you find it a bit odd to displace all the EU countries over 3 DVDs? Here?s my problem with such configuration:
I live in Luxembourg, so I use disc No.1 even if I drive 15km South to get French wine in France, or 20km West to Belgium to get Belgian waffles or fries on the spot ? still OK with No.1.
But if I need to find a route to the nearby German village to eat this perfect Winnerschnitzel mit Paulaner (the closest ones are 17km away from where I live) I have to switch DVD No1 with No.2? And then back again? When do I do it? In the middle of the route, or what? (within these 4 countries borders I need small roads, bridges, etc, and not necessary a major motorway...
Or, even worse: imagine I go from Belgium (B), through Germany (D) to Hungary (H), or to beautiful Croatian seaside (HR soon-to-be-EU) ? then I will need to introduce not only Number 1, and Number 2, but... also DVD Number 3 someway on the road in order not to loose it?
So, my questions: how do these 3 DVDs work in reality?
What?s the point of switching them back and forth all the time within 25-km radius routes?
Who invented that and why...?
just to underline: I?m OK with my DL DVD 2010, but I was really looking forward to some new features and all those POIs on 2011 (especially French speed cameras...), but... to loose the major navigation-comfort of using just ONE disc all the time, that?s strange.. aint?it?

luxembourg:
The 3 DVD's are only for cars equipped with CIC navigation (the new idrive HDD based system), as far as I know.

I tried the 3 DVD's and they do work in my E61 with CCC Navi PRO. I've burned the map on a high quality DVD disc at the lowest speed possible, but the DVD drive makes more noises than with my OEM BMW 2007-2 disc installed.
It's like the DVD is spinning and the navi system is reading the disc all the time.
Anybody with a solution to that irritating problem ?
