I just got the West region disc from them.
Today, I tried searching for my local BMW dealer for service. Car and Travel -> BMW Service -> 100 miles. To my surprise, it returned a list of funeral homes within that radius
I doublechecked that I entered things correctly, and it still returned the same list.
After I got home, I tried searching for other categories. Restaurants -> Asian, gave me a list of pizza restaurants. Travel -> Airports, gave me a list of american restaurants (McDonald's etc). All of the categories seemed to be messed up in this version. This disc is going back to them.
Anyone here with a 2011 disc that can check if theirs have the same problem? My 2011 X5 (hard disk based nav) does not have this issue.

They are sending me a new disc that they've verified to be working. I appreciate their great service so far, trying to resolve this issue.
Fyi, I tested the disc I have in my brother's 2007 530i, exact same categorization issue. So at least I wasn't crazy
