listen guys ive only head of 1 or 2 storries with the 335s blowing there turbos and or engine. DOnt forget the 335s have downpipes and intercooler mods that the 535 doesnt have YET. When you have a combination of jb3 downpipes intercooler and intake ur pushing over 400 hp 400 tq to the wheels now thats alot of power. Not to mention that the 335s dont have an oil cooler like the 535 do stock. There are diff tuners out there with diff products pick which one ur confortable with. FOr me as a LEASEE i can care less i have the car for another year and shes fine no signs of trouble or anything like that. RUns really strong and i love the gains i mean we did test runs with numerous chip and i would say for the most part the jb3 is the strongest chip available. WHich ever chip you are running your obviously affecting your engine weather its dinan jb3 pes aa helix or things there off. As far as i go, like i said before i love the jb3 i mean i really dont have ANY problems on the roads i mean thing things just shooots outta the whole and highway... SO for me its the jb3

although the JB3 is undetechtable, if the turbo's are blown......BMW will research. with all the precautions they have in place, ie., limp mode, error codes, etc......and for the turbo to blow w/o such warning is a major flag.

to each his own. at the end of the day, i respect everyone's personal decision & mod choices.
Hey bro, blown turbos happen if you have more than a tune in your car such as Catless DPs, Larger FMIC, Catless Exhaust, Intake, etc. This is why i kept everything stock just so if anything happens, i can easily take out the JB3 and have the dealer fix it under warranty. Since JB3 is undetectable, the dealer can't prove anything else that might have caused the problem.

You can have warranty coverage this way!
Just my .02cents...

+1 this is very true. All the tuners concluded that our stock turbos can handle up to 15psi of boost SAFELY. Having a JB3 alone should be SAFE guys!

I agree with you 100%, this is definitely not for everyone. I was just trying to give a bit more info on the subject...maybe clear a couple things up... but again I agree with you...warranty is a very important thing and choosing a tune or not to tune at all is something that folks should think about very carefully.

guys, pls do not get me wrong here....i'm in no way knocking the JB3 and Terry.

i simply would not attach a "black box" to my 60in plasma at the risk of it fryin' the screen and potentially voiding the warranty.

when i was shopping for my car, i choose the BMW over the e550 due to the warranty and coverage...amongst other things.

Maybe I have been really lucky but I have owned 5 new cars since 1996 (96 Jetta GT, 98 Passat 1.8T, 2000 Passat 1.8T, 2005 VW Touareg, 2007 Audi 2.0T) and none of them has ever been to the dealer for warranty work or for any reason for that matter (I do all maintenance myself and I am very serious about maintenance). Of those 5 cars 3 of them were turbocharged and tuned with aftermarket tunes...never had a problem. Results may vary though
