Has anybody installed the Juice Box Stage 3 engine software yet? It sounds like the performance gain is similar to the Dinan Stage II software. I have been going back forth about which ECU software mod to do and have mixed feelings about them all.
I know the New Car Sales manager at the dealership I bought my car from pretty well and he tells me BMW is in the process of getting ready to release their own software mods for the Turbo engines. He has a contact with BMW NA that he keeps in contact with that told him this. I had him verify it since I though it might be a rumor rather than fact.
He assures me this software is coming. I do not know when, but it is coming.
BMW realizes that there is a big market for these mods and they are losing a bunch of money to the Dinan's of the world to do these remaps. I guess they want to put their hand in the pot as well.

If money isn't an issue and all you want is reliablity backed by BMW warranty go with the Dinan. With Dinan you car is still backed by factory warranty.

Hey i have just recently installed my JB3. See link for review:
http://www.n54tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1899
JB3 has more power than Dinan and it's undetectable with the current progman software. Yes Dinan has warranty but it can be voided if you have NON-Dinan parts. IMO, JB3 is the best tune out there not because of the price but for it's reliability (NO CODES or LIMP MODES), ease of install (pinout isn't that bad, trust me i'm a newbie in doing installs like this. if i can do it, you can too!), and POWER!

A JB3 only tuned car can go 4.5 sec 0-60! That's M5 territory bud.

My Ride: 2008 535i: June 6th start build, complete June 17th, at NY Port July 5th, at dealer July 10th, took delivery Friday July 13- Plantimum Bronze/Natural Brown Leather/Light Poplar, Sport Package, Sport Auto, Active Steering, Premium Package, CWP & PDC. Dinan Performance Software 384hp & 421 ft/lbs.
It looks like JB3 is the most aggressive software right now. Dinan is running 13.2 lbs of boost to JB3 15 lbs. Dinan does keep you warranteed for 4 yr/50k, which is unique in the field. Dinan stated that they could get additional hp/torque but at the cost of reliability. Specifically the turbos and the six's long crankshaft flexing.
Dinan's reprogramming also runs the coolant pump (its electric) at a higher rate for increased reliability.
I have Dinan's white paper:

I am running JB3 on my 535i as well...very happy with the performance. A few days ago I temporarily ran a boost gauge and it is in fact peaking at 15psi and tapers down a bit just prior to shift as it should. Great product!
