Default Journal: 2009 535xi M Sport - Carbon Black / Saddle Brown

Hey guys, After being out of the Bmw scene for a bit I finally have returned.

I just bought a 2009 BMW 535xi M Sport and wanted to start this journal to keep track of my modding progress in one place. I have a few plans for her and will be sure to keep updating this thread as mods are added.

Ive always liked the M sport so when I found one with the exact color combo I wanted with good mileage for a good price I had to get it. It was literally at a dealership less than a mile away from my house, guess it was meant to be lol.

September 2014
here she is when i first picked her up:

did my first mods at the dealership before taking her home

-tinted windows
-smoked license plate cover

never been a fan of the chrome kidney grills so i went on a search for a replacement. on previous models ive always had matte black grills so i wanted to try something different. found a gloss black set with the m colored stripes on it which i havent seen in the past so decided to give them a try and i think it looks pretty good.

I quickly realized even with the spacers the stock 18s weren't going to cut it and decided to change the wheels. I love the 19" 172 m wheels on the m sports but since I have the Xi the offsets are too aggressive to fit so I decided to go with the bbs replicas in 20"

these just came in and are getting mounted tomorrow

Toyo Proxes 4 Plus All Season
245/35/20 front
275/30/20 rear

ESM 004 LM Replica wheels
20x8.5 et35 front
20x10 et40 rear

wheels are on and they surprisingly ride pretty good! a tab bit harsher than oem 18s but nothing to complain about. i think for those with oem 19s wont even be able to tell the difference if they go up to 20s.

now my car is begging for a drop, luckily for me the kw v3 ($$$) is the only option for xi

also once the car is lowered im going to experiment with some spacers to see how far i can push these wheels out before i start rubbing since i see theres a little room to push them out some.

let me know what you guys think...

I don't know how I feel about the red center caps. I'm thinking silver would flow better?
