After months of oggling and viewing pics online of the M-Aero Kit - the trigger has been pulled. Well, to tell the truth, I had a little help pulling the trigger...I was rear-ended on the fwy...not so bad, just a couple of puntchers and scratches but, enough to need a new rear bumper installed and painted. So, I had half the kit paid for...not such a bad accident after all

Having not seen this in person I have to say it looks a lot better in person vs pics. I think it even drives faster now

Thanks for all the great info!

Hi cader!

In the last 2 pictures, are the protruding pieces going to be trimmed off later or does the M-kit come this way? I have ordered the M-kit for my car but I have not actually seen it in person. I would think that there should not be any protruding pieces. Your car still looks great though!

Yes, the last pics were the Fender Liners that protrude out AFTER the kit is installed. The auto body shop called and asked me about trimming them off and after hearing here that that is normal in terms of this kit i had them proceed. Now that I see the completed job, there is nothing that would indicate that they trimmed anything - the inside fender liners are bolted on - very clean.

So getting into that minor fender bender was actually a blessing in disguise

Nice kit my friend . I'm thinking about getting it in a few months.

Santa Monica huh? I love that place!

Thanks for the replies!

I was in a rush to upload and post the pics last night and want to make sure it's clear about the fender liners. Apparently, when the mkit is installed SOMETIMES the fender liners will stick out as shown on the last 2 photos. My auto body shop called me and told me this. As I was skeptical, they took photos of the fender liners (attached) and sent them to me. They wanted to trim them. Before I had them proceed, I searched this forum and found that others had their body shop trim the fender liners as well. So, I moved forward with the trimming. There is nothing sticking out and it's a very clean look. You would never notice that the auto body shop did anything else besides the install.

It definately was a blessing in disguise I was rear-ended which, covered half the total cost of adding the Mkit. I don't think I would have bought the Mkit otherwise even though I really liked the look. As well, i was on the fence about liking the Mkit rear bumper from pics online. It's looks a lot better in person and I like it better but, it would be great if the red euroflectors could be incorporated somehow.

Thanks again for the great info!

Your new M Kit looks GREAT. Glad they cleaned up the front wheel well area.

It looks very clean with a fantastic shine ... any secrets on how to make it look so good?
