I need to change my brake fluid and oil and my brake rotors, so here goes:
R1 Concepts Premium rotors and Hawk HPS pads came from Michael (AcutePerformance)
Stainless Steel brake lines with silicon coating, ATE Blue racing brake fluid, Noise eliminating lube came from BavAuto
2 Gallons of Red Line Racing oil and Mahn Oil Filter also come from BavAuto
The only thing not pictured are my new upper and lower front control arms from FCPGroton (thanks Toyota2bmw for the reference)

I got a LOT of work to do, and yes, I will DIY everything I can't wait until everything is done, I just won't get a chance until next weekend, but by then i will have the new control arms I also, finally, had to get new front tires - went with 245/35/20 Falken FK452

Control arms ran me $215 shipped for all 4, great deal really IMHO. I found them cheap (some no name brand) on eBay, FCPGroton matched the price AND they have a lifetime warranty

^ Good stuff John. I look forward to DIY. Very interested in the Control arm replacement.

How many miles do you have on your car and are you doing the control arm change as preventative maintenance or do you feel the wear when driving? I'm at 71K miles and wondering if that's something I should do as well as I plan to keep the car another 2years.

Thanks - Jason

Hi Jason, I have 74k miles on my car, but maybe more importantly my car is over 6 years old. I went to get new front tires because the inside edge of the tires was getting really worn out, the guys at the tire shop told me it was most likely due to the control arms, they see it a lot on BMW's. So since the control arms tightened up the other Jason's (toyota2bmw) ride, I figured it was good preventative maintenance to change them out before they become more of a problem.
Other things that need to be done soon: power steering fluid/reservoir replacement, trans fluid/filter replacement, diff oil replacement.
