OK folks see whats what here. I have a 2005 e60 without an autochanger and what i think is the basic radio/cd option. Whats the best way of fitting an ipod?

Is it BMW ipod connector? - How much are these fitted? Do you control via the idrive screen

A Parrot - Will the work with all speakers?

Any help would be good

Actually via the iPod controller. The screen is just a display.

Cheapest & easiest would be using OEM BMW iPod interface.

No idea but I would stick with BMW's. I had the BMW kit in my 2006 330i and it was quite good. Granted, the factory kit is better but you can only get that when ordering the new car.

BMW Ipod /Iphone integration kit is the way to go and cheapest.

The kit is $260, and the programming from dealer is $120.

You'll be able to see the songs and controls the ipod through idrive.

You can do a search and find a lot of people have the Ipod integration kit.

As I said before, you can see the title of the song and track time, and control the ipod with the BMW Ipod integration kit. The plug is a ipod/iphone plug.

Good luck.

120$? what programming are you referring to? If it's enabling the CD-Changer option you are off by about 180! generally the price rangers from 150-300 for enabling the CD-Changer. the mp3 retrofit is free with the proper bulletin. I would suggest doing the mp3 retrofit and then asking if they could just add on the CD-Changer retrofit as well takes the same amount of time and the same things happen during the coding and most say ok to that.

to find the interface and all required bulletins check out my store @ www.aftermarketbulbsshop.com or search for ipod retrofit and you'll come across tons of posts here
