I am about to buy a UK March 2005 525d M Sport. She has CD Changer already fitted an I know there is both a BMW option and the Dension 500 option for the ipod interface. The car does not have sat nav. I am struggling as well to work out if the iPod will work fully in my car. I have read online conflicting reports of ipod text not being displayed on some models on the iDrive. Now does this mean that I cannot use the iDrive to navigate my ipod menu eg artists, albums, songs etc? Or, does it mean that once I navigate to a song on the ipod and then play it it just wont display the mp3 tags on the screen ie artist, album, track name,

Could someone confirm for me that if I buy the Dension 500 or the BMW interface that I can use my ipod with the iDrive as expected? That is, I can plug navigate through all albums, songs, artists etc from the Idrive and once playing the song detail is shown on the screen.
