This may have been brought up several times. I just couldnt' find the thread, but do any of you know if there is a kit that will let you view your iPod list on your iDrive. I know there is a system out there that does this for 1999 to 2003 5 series models. (You can control the iPod through your controls on the steering wheel as well as the deck.)

That would be nice to view your list on our iDrive.

There no such system available yet for the E60. You'll have to go the aux-input route for now.

Yep, nothing out there yet for the E60. I think what you've seen for other cars is either the Peripheral iPod2Car: http://peripheralelectronics.com/web/ipod2car.asp

or the Monster iCruz: http://www.monstercable.com/icruze/

That looks cool! But I guess I would be worried about people trying to steal it since it's so visible. My other thought is that this is similar to just having your iPod mounted on a gooseneck but I guess the difference is that the HK has a bigger display screen and you can mount it in line-of-sight on the dash.

And does that give you a song display and navigation via iDrive?

If not, how is it any different from an iPod?

Welcome to E60 Forums.

You have to have the AUX In installed in order ot play an ipod through your stereo system. Here are the instructions and relevant part numbers
