Hi Guys,

I have had my new e61 for almost 2 months now and now have an original iPhone (2g) running v2.0.2 firmware. I would like to control it via the iDrive (I have pro nav [2nd slot=DVD slot] and CD Changer and MP3 capability through single CD drive in dash).

Currently I just plug the iPhone into the AUX port that I have in the rear of the armrest (why did BMW put it there!!), but can not charge the phone or control music via the iDrive.

So - what do you guys suggest please - Is it the Dension Gateway 500 or is it the BMW new add-on ACM the best bet? I should add that I like the idea of being able to plug an 8GB (or larger!) USB drive into the car too. Keeping the CD changer is not important as it is c*ap not supporting MP3s!!

What would you do? Where to buy from and anybody recommend a decent fitter in Wiltshire, UK please?
