I picked up one of those dual usb/headphone jack plugs so I can plug my iphone into my car and put the 6FL to work. I bought an OEM one used off eBay (scared to try the cheap aftermarket ones).

I removed the center console, drilled a small hole in the bottom, wrapped electrical tape on the iphone plug (to keep the prongs squeezed together enough for 1 handed removal) and plugged it in. Now I can charge my phone and control the music via the cord and talk on the phone via the bluetooth.

 

I recently purchased one from amazon. It works great but I hate how short the cable is and how I can't close my armrest while it's plugged in!! I like what you did!

 

ya, it was scary making that hole. But now my phone and car are on speaking terms without any ugly visible cords
