I am doing a aluminum interior trim replacemernt in my 2008 535. I have it all done with the exception to the long narrow strips in each of the doors. I can get the door panels off ok but I have yet to figure out how to release those little silver grommet type clip that hold the plastic trim in the door panel. They look so inncoent but are brutal! I hate to pay my dealer to do it when I know I can.
I am about ready just to cut them and buy new securing clips. They are very inexepensive but I just do not feel like waiting for the parts to come in once I order. Plus now I am on a mission for the know how.
I have the latest edition of the TIS DVD and the instructions by BMW says "release clip". Gee thanks for the elaborate description on how to do this!
Can anybody help me out as to how to release those clips?
Thanks.
