While I save for some major upgrades to the new ride, I have been doing a few small things here and there. Is an interior LED lighting upgrade worth the cash? I know it is a preference thing, but I would love to hear your feedback.

Any help is appreciated!

YES. Every time you unlock your car at night and watch your interior light up it will put a smile on your face. brabusw209amg has a awesome price on a full LED interior package. I bought mine from him and I am extremely satisfied.

I actually have it, and I'm still on the fence if it's actually worth it or not. It changes the color yes, but not necessarily make it brighter.

Where did you get your LED's from? Are they LED's or colored halogens?

Definitely not from John (Brabus) since his kit is bright as fuck.

I didn't get them from him. I actually bought 2 sets. 1st one was an LED package...I didn't like how directional they were so I then bought the Xenon filament type which I think is a little better. I forgot where I got them though.

Any of the colored filament bulbs aren't going to be real bright.
I swapped out all of those ugly yellow filament bulbs when I first got my E60 with some "xenon" aka blue tinted filament bulbs from bimmian.com. I liked the whiter color and they held up for well over a year even got some "nice LED's" comments but then a couple burnt out. The trunk, driver and passenger footwell.
Well John (brabus) was running a special and I bought a bunch of stuff from him, HID fogs, angel eyes and the LED interior kit. Dramatic difference from the filament bulbs in terms of brightness and color. Well worth it in my opinion.

Great. Thanks guys! I wanted to make sure I wasn't crazy by wanting them. I'm going to hit up Brabus now!

Thanks for the comments everyone! I do get a lot of PMs regarding the Ultimate LED interiors. For my regular LED interiors, I use all SMD LEDs and for the center domes, they are 12 SMD LED panels! Very bright! And for the ULTIMATE LED interiors, I use replacement housings for the 2 footwells, 2 interior trunk, and 4 under doors! It's SUPER bright and if you drop your wallet on the floor while getting out of the car, YOU WILL SEE IT! These replacement housings go for $25 a piece! That's $200 right there before the other 7 LED bulbs and 2 12-SMD LED panels! I am running a promo of $175 shipped as introductory offer! By November, it will be $200 shipped. Of course I can custom design some packages to suit your needs. Let's say you do not want the footwells and trunk that bright, it will be replaced with SMD LED bulbs. Price will be adjusted accordingly. Hmm...I think I should copy and paste the above.
