So last night I was thinking about what I should do about my badging. I decided that badging it with a //M5 logo wouldn't be very cool. Since my initials are MBP I thought, "It would be pretty interesting if I got a B and P badge (or had one made) and then badged my 530 either //M B P or //M P

its your car...if you want to do that then go for it. I personally wouldnt. I would say black badges or no badges.

Would black look cool? Yea the //M idea is a bit corny but hey. I'm going to be painting my calipers black I think because red seems like it would clash a bit with my car. If I could find caliper paint close to the color of my car that would be cool because I doubt there is someone else on this planet with mystic blue calipers...

For caliper painting tirerack sells a great kit. You have to mix two parts that creates this thick, glossy urethane like finish. The "paint" fills in the rough casting finish of the caliper and makes them easier to keep clean. It lasts much better than spray paint. I did my calipers in silver and my son did his car in yellow. Both came out very nice. I highly recommend it.

What colors would I need to create a close-to mystic blue paint?

WOAH idea! What if I bought some mystic blue touch up paint from BMW and after applying it to the calipers I sprayed a heat sealing clear coat?

Hmmmm hard to say, blue with a bit of silver maybe. Or you could go with yellow which is the color of BMW's new "performance line" brakes. I painted mine silver to match the car but also it was closest to stock, just gives me a much nicer finish.
