I just called my auto insurance company to add another vehicle to my policy and asked if they covered aftermarket parts, such as wheels, stereos, etc. and she replied that if for example the wheels are stolen, they only offer you what the manufacturer's listed price is for their OEM wheels that were on that particular vehicle... Now, I recall several people saying that there are auto insurance companies or third party companies that will cover aftermarket parts or am I just hearing things?

I live in a relatively safe neighborhood near the beach, but once in a while there are shady people that roam the neighborhood or sit in their 'suspicious'.. The neighbors are on point, so if there is suspicious activity, they usually call the cops ASAP...BUT, I'm getting sick of having to live in fear with the thought that when I wake up one morning, my car will be on bricks and my $5k wheels/tires gone
