My Ride: 10 Melbourne Red X6M
I just received the unit in the mail today. I'm kinda confused on how to install it. I understand where the lcd in and out cables go, along with the v4 cable and ground. What I don't exactly know yet is where to connect the 12v and the S/w cables (pink and orange - what are they for anyway??) Also, there are only video inputs so how to connect sound my stereo? I will be attempting this install myself so I would really appreciate some help with this. I will document my installation for the DIY section to help out anyone in the future. Thanks guys

I have this unit and it took almost 4 hours to install from a professional shop (whats up DOM ) We kinda ran into a small problem with the TV tuner but it was all fixed up before i left the shop. My advice, let a professional do it because I was watching for about 80% of the time that they were installing and it wasn't kids stuff.

Hi
The unit should have instructions in it. You will use V1 for DVD an V3 for backup camera. V4 is not for the USA. You attach the orange wire to the reverse lights. If you install a camera, this is so the camera switches in when you put the car in reverse. You don't use the pink wire. Red wire is 12V, black is ground. You need a separate FM modulator for the sound. If you want TV-Tuner you can buy a DVD with built in TV-Tuner we carry them. If you have any other questions please call me at 718-763-7367.
Thanks Dominic

Hi,
Can someone post the installation instructions here ?
I wonder what's the difficult part of installation the module ?
Main stuff:
1. Get the sceen open, plug the the cables.
2. Lure the cables to glove compartent
3. Connect to the power 12V somehow. How this is done exactly ??? Using torch/flashlight power ??? Does this need some wire cutting ?? Please send pictures about this ? After getting power to the module... it should be easy to get it to the player etc...
I'd like to now these before ordering the module, looks like I have to install it by myself.... if it's possible to do without compromising the other parts of the car....
