I should be getting my wheels and springs in any day now. Just wanted to know what a good price would be to install them? and about how long will it take?

Got mine done with alignment for $350 in about 1/2 days work, not including the cost of the springs. I am not sure how that translates to Canadian money.

damn, so it costs more to install the springs then the springs cost themselves.. $350 us would be about $340 cdn I believe. would the alignment be necessary for my car? its almost brand new, 2008 with about 8000km on it.

Sorry I should have clarified I have Eibach Pro-Kit, however the labor to install should be the same price as springs are springs. It was a good price on the install, however I had to buy the springs from the place that did the install, so they marked up the springs higher then I could have bought them on the net. I paid about $700 out the door.

My ride quality is better then stock on two fronts, body lean is less now that the springs are lower and tighter, and ride quality has improved since I went from 18" run flats to 19" non-run flats. So in both looks and quality of performance I think it was well worth the $700. I only had my 18" wheels on about 2 weeks before I upgraded the wheels, but in that time I didnt see the ride quality suffer when hitting bumps, it only got better with performance characteristics.

IMO, you got a bad deal for $700. Anyways, enjoy your ride.

I paid $300 for install. Keep in mind that doing springs for the xi takes a lot more time than the RWD models, due to the front set-up. Anyway, I paid $300 and it took about 4-5 hours. Just make sure they reattach your auto-self-leveler sensor for the lights correctly, otherwise you'll find your headlights pointing to the ground when you turn them on at night. I learned that the hard way.

Congrats!

PS - I did not do an alignment when I got this done. I got a new alignment done when I put my 19's on. That was the only time.

Again, I shopped around the Denver area and the best I could do on the install was $350, most places wanted about $500 to install springs and do 4 wheels alignment. Most places charge about $100 to do an alignment alone, so $250 for spring install sounds pretty reasonable. As mentioned I could have gotten the springs for $225 online, but then I would have had to continue to shop around to find someone to install them. After 5-6 price checks I was pretty satsified with the cost.

I could have shopped around even further and did the job for $600, but see topic "Buying Experiences with Quad M" Sometimes time is more inportant then money! Besides to find quality work in Denver is not like California where there's a customing auto shop on every corner, you guys have to compete with each other. In Denver youre luck if you can find anyone that really knows what their are doing!
