dont do it. idk if you have even sat 3+ hours in the passenger seat of a 1series. the cup holder makes it the most uncomfortable seat known to man kind. id rather sit in the tiny, cramped back than the front passeger seat of a 1er again.

One thing that blows about the current cup holder in 5 series is that it blocks the A/C vents from hitting the passenger and then of course the fact that they are flimsy pieces of crap.

1) blocking the AC
2) actually invades the passengers space (but I'm the driver so what do I care?)
3) It's slightly smaller than it needs to be and many soda bottles and commonly sized water bottles [kind of] get stuck in it.. to where you have to kind of press down or wedge something in tere to get it to release
4) it's not like it's a mile away but the driver's cup holder does require a bit of a lean and if you want to push the second one out (passenger's).. a huge lean.. PITA if you're getting two drinks at a drive-through and you're solo
But I manage to live some how..
