I think there was a thread in the vendor forum, the oldies section, where some members discussed about trimming the shifter so it looks lowered. Seller was Schulrog or something like that. Another member has done this awhile back but most here thought it was a bit too high and will get in the way of the cd when ejected.
Can't wait to see the final result. OP make sure you wrap on the bottom of the shifter to prevent the metal particles get in there.

Looks good; agree should be lowered and it will look perfect. I have also seen this mod on the forum, but it was an oem knob that was also functional by being lit up. Has anyone else seen this as well?

I remember seeing this LCI shifter lighted too that's why I thought this was the same one.

It's neffy wrap from www.neffywrap.com , it's like a cloth wrap. Did all my wood trim in it
