"Nice steering wheel.
Is that a standard M5 steering wheel?
I only know wheels which are completely black.
Is the silver colour something special you have done at your own?"

Look at the interior pictures in the information section on the homepage, All the steering wheels are there.

The steering wheel is a SMG wheel p/n 32346770066
Left paddle p/n 61316956278
Right paddle p/n 61316956277
These are M5 paddles, left down shift - right up shift.

The SMG paddles are:
Left paddle p/n 61317836557
Right paddle p/n 61317836558

The RUTHENIUM -silver- trim is standard on my 2007 550i, I just installed it on the SMG steering wheel

I used the mod kit from Fred -(my530i) to activate the paddles. Great kit, took about 45 minutes to an hour to install.

The wheel on my M5 is all black with the M logo.

Just a note there is a production change to the steering wheels in 2005. The alignment pin was changed to a notch.
You must get the right wheel for your year car, or mod the pin on the earlier year one.
