My Ride: "Angel I's" 2005 525i Debadged, Remote Homelink, Full Burl Package, Cold Weather PKG, Premium Sound PKG, BMW Wheel Stems, Biege Rubba Matz, EURO Tag, Dual Zone Vents, Automatic Car Ventilation, Rescue Kit. Due up: Aux Input, TINT, and K&N Filter and some Zaino LOVE for my Angel.
It seems to me that BMW is hosing the AUX input install. There's so many options, Harman Kardon, D.I.C.E. and others. Can I install this myself WITHOUT BMW programming? Do I REALLY need the programming? Thanks.

From what I've read on this forum, apparently activation by dealer is always needed for Aux input. I haven't seen any plug and play.
parts cost very little ! labour to fit is extensive because of programming and dissambly.
they need to reprogram the software to make it work.
BMWHK will not install it for me they say I need to but it when I get a new car not afterward.
+ it also cost a arm and a leg for just a AUX so I just left it.
